My History

For the last 5 years I have been working on social History Programmes for ITV in the London, Carlton and Anglia Region. These films have been specifically based around the notion of taking a film from a film archive and interpreting the film by tracing people who are on it.

During this time the thing that I found astounding was that most of the people I contacted had no idea that these films even existed - including one couple who were reunited with a film of their wedding 50 years after it had been made.

My Grandfather was passionate about recording his family on film and having researched his history, I have been able to trace him on a variety of archives including the local news and footage held in The Imperial War Museum.
